Known for its quaint Victorian cottages and pristine beaches, Cape May, New Jersey has been a seaside destination for generations. Near Cape May Point about a five-minute drive from the Cape May Lighthouse is the WWII Lookout Tower, which played an important role in defending the country from invasion during the Second World War. And during Fall, it is an especially wonderful time because it is when migrating birds, such as shorebirds, hawks and tiny songbirds heading towards South America will all pass through Cape May.

One of the townships oldest homes, the John Holmes House c. 1755, houses the Cape May County Museum, a repository of history and artifacts from the days of Lenni Lenape tribe through the settlement of the Southern New Jersey area.
